Mathru Shree Manovikasa Kendra is non-profit, non-commercial, voluntary organization dedicated to the welfare of the differently abled children. Established as a residential school in March 2003, this school is a voluntary private organisation run by MSMK, the institute is managed by a team of committed professionals working towards the welfare of the mentally challenged.
Milaap began in 2010, as a micro-lending platform for the rural poor. Carefully selected field partners identify beneficiaries who take loans for education, basic amenities and capital for their micro and small businesses. It slowly metamorphosed into a larger platform to allow individuals and charities showcase their initiatives.
Milaap Open was launched in October 2014, and it has helped thousands of champions raise funds for their personal causes, for their friends and family and for causes of national importance. These include crowdfunding for charities, medical expenses, education, volunteering and fellowships, neighborhood, emergencies, natural disasters, sports, documentaries, arts, and animals rescue projects benefiting individuals or communities in need.
Anaheim Health Fair & Lestonnac Free Clinic Portable Eye Examination Machine
The Sarva Mangal Family Trust generously provided $2,718 to purchase a NETRA (a smartphone-based auto-refractor), a Netrometer (to calculate eyeglass measurements) and a Netropter (for visual acuity tests) all manufactured by EyeNetra in order to collect patient’s refractive measurements to and provide prescription lenses more efficiently.
The preliminary trial for the EyeNetra equiptment took place at the Annual 2016 Anaheim Health Fair on Saturday April 2nd and Sunday April 3rd. Overall, Lestonnac Free Clinic was pleased as the trial provided a basline which will allow the Clinic to make continued improvements to the vision services. 100 patients received vision services utilizing the EyeNetra equiptment during the two day event. 20% of those patients were provided seemless care from the moment the volunter medical assistant instructed them how to use the equiptment, to being escorted to the Vision Provider for the final approval of the prescription, and finally being fitted for glasses.

AIF Raises $500K at Orange County Gala.
The American India Foundation hosted its third Annual Orange County Gala on March 19th, bringing together more than 250 guests, including some of the region’s most influential philanthropists, entrepreneurs, and community leaders to raise $500,000 in support of AIF’s Maternal and Newborn Survival Initiative (MANSI), a public-private partnership working to reduce maternal and child mortality by providing care, resources, and support to empower local communities to care for their mothers and children and improve local health systems.

Mast Center in Rewari, near Delhi India – Project Target:
- Trainer for garment construction training and Master Trainer for Production work have been identified.
- Garment construction lab with 2 Juki machines, 1 interlock machine, 1 embroidery machine, 1 pressing table with boiler, 1 cutting table and 5 motor backed sewing machines has been set-up.
- Signing of agreement with London Academy for providing Spoken English to the trainees is in process.
- The response from the youth, mainly from female candidates, towards the Garment Construction training cum production work has been positive; total 31 candidates enrolled so far.
- Training on Virtual MAST was organized by Anudip Foundation, Kolkata on 29th September at the center.
- Necessary hardware has been set-up for Virtual MAST
- Regular follow-up with placed candidates and their employers.
- Candidates mobilization drive being organized on daily basis.
